Here are a few of my reflections on the day before I hit the rack…

People come to Sanctuary and probably think that things always run smoothly.  Not so!  Today we were locked out and thinking that we would not be able to gain access to the school!  So… I began making plans for a worst case scenario…  I started to circle the campus and survey where we might have an OUTDOOR service!   YEA!  “It will be hot, but we will be OK… this might even be fun”.  I decided on the parking lot… it will work for one Sunday.

Then our NEW janitor finally showed up!

GOING BEHIND THE SCENES you will find that our volunteers are AWESOME.  Today we had a small army of people, men and women, couples and singles, loading up our three moving trucks.  We had some heroic type dedication, with one man sick as a dog, needing to be in bed, but there he was… grinding it out and refusing to go home.  He came early and stayed late.

We have a church full of people who bring it every week serving people in Jesus name.  I am honored to be a part of Sanctuary.

I think the baptism this Sunday is going to be awesome.  Being baptised is an act of obedience on our part once we’ve begun a faith relationship with Jesus Christ.  We will do a lakeside orientation for all those getting baptised.  I encourage you to get baptised if you have never done so!  Come and invite a friend!

I read this quote by Pastor Perry Noble… “Jesus did not die on a cross so we could establish really awesome bible study groups.  He died because He knew that He was the ONLY way for us to be right with God”.

I want for us to be passionate about people coming to know Jesus.

G’nite!
