Friday mornings I meet with the former Hungarian rock star turned worship leader, Attila Juhas.  Today we met at Panera Bread.  Attila drinks about 7 cups of coffee to get a good jolt of caffiene to get fired up for the day.  (Notice the guilt evidence in his hand).  

 

We chat about the Sunday morning service… new worship songs, old worship songs that need a rest… “That song was so 2006″… worship team concerns, the upcoming Sunday service, multimedia, Sanctuary web, Sanctuary events and how many cups of coffee Attila can drink in one day.

Today we  watched a worship video on my laptop of NewSpring Church in South Carolina that did an amazing presentation of “Hosanna”.  

This evening Kirstin and I drove down to La Quinta resort in… La Quinta!!!  We had a quick dinner with some Sanctuary couples and then went to the evening meeting.  After some great worship, Pastor Don McClure spoke from Eph. 5 on relationships.  The man has much to say, and says it well.  Here are a few of my favorite quotes from the opening session:

“The foundational relationship of all relationships is our relationship with the Holy Spirit”.

Man was made to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Being filled with the Spirit is critical to all other relationships”.

“Joy = a happy heart.  God wants His children to have a happy heart, a thankful heart, and a submitted heart”.

“In marriage, if you have to win, or are keeping score to see who wins, its a problem.  I don’t have to win to win anymore”.
